Frog Tree yarns has been a not for profit since 1997.
It began with the intent to help women, through
cooperatives and fair wages, so they could provide for
their families and maintain a traditional lifestyle.
In Bolivia, between 800-1200 women have been trained and
work in these co-ops.
Frog Tree has grown to now work with groups in Peru, who
are also socially conscious, environmentally friendly
and pay fair wages.
This form of trade enables communities to develop their
infrastructure and education. It also enables all
of us to take part in this new socially
conscious/accountable form of trade.
